This newsletter is my commitment to you. It’s where I’ll share clear, meaningful updates — where we are, what’s next, and what you can expect. When you signed up, I promised to only send updates that matter. My goal is every other week for now, moving to weekly as we approach beta sales.
So where are we?
The Good News
We are still on track for beta sales at the end of April / beginning of May.
The Work in Progress
The mobile companion app is scheduled for completion by the end of April. During our latest testing round, I made the decision to revise parts of the gameplay.
Why?
Because enjoyment and playability have to be seamless.
Collection. Scoring. Flow.
If those aren’t right, nothing else matters.
We rebuilt core gameplay mechanics to create a stronger foundation — one that supports future community modes and a fair, dynamic handicap system. It was the right move long term, even if it added short-term complexity.
Certification
Black Hole Golf uses smart targets we designed from the ground up. There is nothing else like them.
Because of that, we must complete FCC certification before selling. That process takes approximately 2–6 weeks and is scheduled to begin in early April.
Packaging
We’re also designing packaging that’s worth keeping — something you’ll store your devices in and feel proud to own.

This beta isn’t just early access — it’s participation. You’ll have direct input into what’s working, what needs refinement, and what we build next.
Closer to device shipment, I’ll outline our Founding Member program — a small but meaningful way to recognize those who stepped in first.
